


Muskoka based company Summer Water Sports built a giant wakeboard pool in the Boardsports parking lot on Yonge St to host a wakeboard urban rail jam. They were hoping to raise over $10,000 over the weekend for the Hospital for Sick Children.

The fundraising event took place at the Ontario Science Centre.
Individuals and teams collected pledges to raise money for the Easter Seals Society. Individuals had to raise a minimum of $1,500 each in order to repel down the North Tower at 175 Bloor St. East., a 16 story commercial office building on the corner of Bloor and Church.
OSHAWA - Nursing Professors Leslie Graham and Debbie Morrison stand back while Mr. Jones, a high-fidelity simulator gets a healthy dose of electricity from a defibrillator in the healthcare lab at the college. Durham College has received $1 million from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to create a critical care nursing, e-learning program for the province. This cutting edge program will train health-care professionals in a simulated life-like environment, based on wide variety of scenarios that will make the students more comfortable, capable and competant in dealing with medical situations in the real world.
