High-Fidelity Simulators
OSHAWA - Nursing Professors Leslie Graham and Debbie Morrison stand back while Mr. Jones, a high-fidelity simulator gets a healthy dose of electricity from a defibrillator in the healthcare lab at the college. Durham College has received $1 million from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to create a critical care nursing, e-learning program for the province. This cutting edge program will train health-care professionals in a simulated life-like environment, based on wide variety of scenarios that will make the students more comfortable, capable and competant in dealing with medical situations in the real world.
