2nd annual Multi-Cultural Canada Day festival






The Community Folk Art Council of Toronto, presented the 2nd annual Multi-Cultural, Canada Day festival at Dundas Square, with performances from 13 different ethnic groups.

Strawberries

Strawberry season is here - and it should last for about another 3 more weeks. I went strawberry picking to Twinkleberry Farms and took along my Canon G7 for the ride.

I took a bunch of shots, but this pic reminds me of one of those could-be advertising shots that would read "From our fields to your table - support your local farmer" or "Fresh Ontario Produce".... well you get the idea...

Battle of the Hors D'oeuvres




OSHAWA - Big Borthers Big Sisters of Oshawa-Whitby hosted their second annual Battle of the Hors D'oeuvres at the Lviv Hall. The competition involves Durham's finest chefs displaying their gourmet specialties. Judges started off with a wine tasting and then sat down to a variety of dinners and hors D'oeuvres before voting for their favourite.
