It's that time of the year when Santa is a celebrity. Sure, it's only mid-November but malls are already full of Christmas/Holiday (pick your political correctness)shoppers looking to buy that perfect gift. To get into the holiday swing of things, Yorkdale Shopping Centre launched 'Starlight Spectacular', a digital symphony of stars. The stars which hang from the malls new glass ceiling are made up of over 700,000 lights which are synchronized to music that plays daily, throughout the season.

Corn Harvest November 10, 2007
Blackstock - The Hope Christian Reform Church in Port Perry in conjunction with Youngfields Farm harvested 10 acres of corn, amassing to about 40 tons. The corn will be sold with the money raised being donated to the Canadian Foodgrains Banks, which will be going towards ending world hunger.

Stéphane Dion at the Learning Enrichment Foundation November 09, 2007 Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion announced the Liberal strategy on poverty in Canada at the Learning Enrichment Foundation. He introduced the 30/50 plan which aims to reduce the number of Canadians living below the poverty line by at least 30 per cent and reduce the number of children living in poverty by at least 50 per cent over five years.
